My Studio

Character design has always been a fascination for me as an artist. Raised on sci-fi media, my designs reflect those influences and personal projects I've developed.
As a traditionally trained artist, I focused on painting in my career. Inspired by the landscapes of forested hills in the Pacific Northwest, I sought to capture the eerie twilight hours of wandering the foothills outside Seattle.
Over the years, the illustrated anatomy work I started at the end of my college thesis has grown through fungus and decay, as illustrated works featured in local art shows

Beyond the Studio
Outside of my studio, I teach my local community art in a wide variety of mediums on subjects in drawing fundamentals, character design, painting, digital art, and ceramics. Art was always a lifelong pursuit, and I'm happy to help others along their artistic journey. Sharing a creative space with other artists is a unique thing, and it's why I love the communication from other people through their works.

Further from the studio, you can find me and my works at local fairs in the PNW. For the last few years i have also shared my work at festivals in a 10x10 display tent. I appreciate the excitement and intrigue in my illustrations. Bringing my studio out on the streets has challenged me and kept me disciplined to always be growing my skills.

2020 was my first solo show beyond the studio in Snoqualmie. I have shown at several local spaces since then. I have been featured in the local newspaper about being an artist in the PNW and about my life.
